After last year’s success why not carry on the Swatch Skiers Cup?! Sverre Liliequist and Mark Abma are team captains again for Team Europe and Team Americas. The riders that will be joining him will be announced every Thursday throughout February and March with the first one being tomorrow!

So it appears that they’ve announced the first skiers on on time, apart from the captains of course. They happen to be none other than Kye Peterson for Team Americas and Kaj Zackrisson for Team Europe. Talk about starting your team off with a strong pairing!

The next two riders that have been announced are……. cue the drumroll – Oakley White-Allen for Team Americas and Richard Permin for Team Europe. How much stronger can these teams get.

Next up on the team sheet are two top riders and their selection has not allowed me to pick a side that will definitely win. For Team Americas we have Chopo Diaz and for Team Europe we have Markus Eder.

Another Thursday flies by and we’ve got two more riders that have been announced. For Team Americas it’s the incredible shredder, Sean Pettit. He’s been a part of the skiing world for a while now so he’s a great addition to the team and will give them an edge. For Team Europe we have Kiwi Sam Smoothy. I know he’s not exactly European but it’s more of an America vs Rest of the World fight.
