Superpipe

After finishing in sixth place at last year’s Winter X Games, Sarah Burke has taken her rightful place at the top of the podium by killing the pipe finals in Aspen. She stomped a 900, back-to-back flairs and a 720 for a stoming 91.33!

Second place went to X Games rookie Brita Sigourney.

And third went to Roz Groenewoud

Final placings:
1. Sarah Burke – CAN – 91.33
2. Brita Sigourney – USA – 86.00
3. Roz Groenewoud – CAN – 84.00
4. Anais Caradeux – FRA – 82.33
5. Jen Hudak – USA – 78.00
6. Devin Logan – USA – 68.33

Slopestyle

This has to be one of the closest finals in Winter X Games History with the top three separated by 0.66 points! It seems that Kaya Turski’s first run, giving her a score of 93.66, was enough to hold onto the win through the other two rounds and claim Kaya her second, consecutive Winter X Games gold.

Keri Herman took second by 0.33 points.

And in third was Grete Eliassen with 93.00. You can see her in our recent posts from ColdAsIce.tv

Final results are:
1. Kaya Turski – CAN – 93.66
2. Keri Herman – USA – 93.33
3. Grete Eliassen – USA – 93.00
4. Ashley Battersby – USA – 92.00
5. Kim Lamarre – CAN – 91.33
6. Jessica Warll – CAN – 90.66
7. Anna Segal – AUS – 80.33
8. Meg Olenick – USA – 76.33
9. Maude Raymond – CAN – 75.00
10. Devin Logan – USA – 73.00

What an event. Let’s wait and see how the men do!
