Register for AFP Membership before Feb 26th

This could be one of those things that you’ll regret if you don’t do. Remember that girl/boy you didn’t kiss when you were younger, or that job you didn’t go for? Well this ranks as number one if you miss your opportunity to do this.
I may have gone slightly overboard with the comparisons but you know what I mean when it comes to this. Here’s their press release:

DILLON, CO (Feb. 18) – The AFP World Ranking is an unparalleled asset to the freeskiing world, offering true and accurate worldwide ranking in halfpipe, slopestyle, big air and overall disciplines. Currently the AFP World Tour Calendar boasts 96 sanctioned competitions at 60+ locations globally and ranks freeskiing competitors of all ages and ability levels.

Beginning February 26th 2012 only the names and rankings of active AFP Members will display publicly on the AFP World Ranking. Annual AFP Membership is only $35 USD, which goes a long way to ensure that the AFP can continue to provide the valuable services of the AFP World Tour Calendar and the AFP World Ranking to the freeskiing community.

The rankings will remain true and accurate with all competitors maintaining their ranking positions, however the names and ranks of non-members will simply not appear publicly. For example, if a competitor currently ranked 33rdis not an AFP Member, then 33rd will not display on the ranking, appearing like this- 31, 32, 34, 35. That competitor maintains his or her position at 33rd, but the name, rank and profile of that athlete will only display publicly on the website once he or she becomes an AFP Member.

All competitors are encouraged to visit http://afp.memberpro.net/main/body.cfm to register for membership and continue to see their name and ranking displayed publicly on www.afpworldtour.com, promoting both themselves and their sponsors. Again, if a competitor does not have an active 2012 AFP Membership by February 26th, his or her name will not display on the AFP World Ranking until they register for 2012 AFP Membership.

For further information or questions feel free to contact the Association of Freeskiing Professionals.
The AFP thanks you for your continued support and wishes all competitors the best of luck for the remainder of the season.
