While we haven’t been able to be out there in person, we’ve still been able to avidly follow each of the 2013 Freeride World Tour stops thanks to the HD live stream footage and super high quality video highlights which have accompanied each of the tour stops.
For all you filming and production buffs out there, here’s an inside look into the tour to see how it’s done. In these three episode discover the Cineflex® technology behind all the high quality helicopter shots, the logistics of getting three tons of filming equipment up to the top of remote mountains in freezing conditions and exactly how they perfect all those super slo-mo worthy moments.
David Arnaud, head of production, explains. “On the Freeride World Tour we have the very best riders in the world, bring them to the top venues around, with fresh snow and bluebird skies. So we really try to give it justice in terms of pictures and video footage. We have a responsibility towards the sport to picture it in the best possible way and I think this is just the beginning.”
