Editor’s Blog: First Tracks Of The Season

15/12/09 (Jamie) Ok, so I don’t mean to rub it in or anything, but we’ve just been getting face shots on the Jakobshorn – yes that’s right folks, face shots.

So far this seaon all we’ve been hearing about is the vast amount of frozen water falling from the skies over the West coast of Canada, but you’ll be pleased to hear that Europe has been holding up pretty well as well. We managed to get a bit of spare time to get on a plane and head over here (here being Davos/Klosters, a great place if you only have a couple of days; only a short train ride from Zurich airport) to check it out first hand for you, and we hope you appreciate this selfless act of generosity.

Anyway, unfortunately we didn’t really get any action shots cos we were too busy ripping fresh pow, but here’s a couple of scenics that Pally got to prove how good the cover is. From what we’ve heard central and North Eastern Switzerland have had more than most in the Alps, but nowhere is really struggling. So never mind British Columbia with its bottomless powder, get over to Europe…at least you won’t have to deal with the millions of Olympic fans either.

Nice!
Looking back out of the valley towards Zurich.
Coming out of the cloud...
