After the success of last year and because of how well the previous years had been, the Freeride World Tour has expanded to 6 stages with these stops being in St. Moritz, Switzerland and Fieberbrunn, Austria.
In 2011 the male riders will kick off the tour mid-January in Chamonix before trekking around the globe to five more destinations in Europe, Russia and North America. The female riders have their own schedule, competing at the Freeride World Qualifier events. They’ll all join up in the grande finale in Verbier, Switzerland ready to crown the new champion!
In Verbier the battle for the world title 2011 will determine who will follow in the footsteps of reigning World Champions Candide Thovex, FRA (men ski), Ane Enderud, NOR (women ski), Xavier de Le Rue, FRA (men snowboard), and Aline Bock GER (women snowboard).
