Freeride World Tour Finals

This morning saw the finals of the women’s Freeride World Tour being played out on the legendary Bec des Rosses in Verbier. Unfortunately the men’s event had to be postponed due to the bad afternoon weather conditions. The organisers hope to run that event sometime between now and the 28th of March.

Early morning sunshine saw the womens finals played out on the Petit Bec des Rosses in front of large crowds
Drop-in on the notorious face...Sketchy snow conditions made it particularly hard for the riders this year

In the meantime we saw Jess McMillan steal the silver for the second year running, Julia Mancuso add a bronze to her collection after an already successful Olympic year, and Ane Enderud take the first spot as well as the overall Freeride World Title for the second year in a row. So if you are a Norweigan now would probably be a good time to think about cracking a beer in celebration. Video to follow, and we’ll bring you more news on the men’s event as we get it.
