Winter Dew Tour dates announced!

Things will get even bigger on the Winter Dew Tour this season as the pipe grows to 22 feet for all the pipe slayers out there. With all of last-season’s Olympic qualifiers out of the way and Vancouver in the bag, many of the top competitors can bring their polished runs to the Dew Tour’s brand new Olympic-worthy pipe.

Winter Dew Tour also adds a new resort into the mix when it heads to Vermont’s Killington Resort for the second stop from Jan 20-23, and with the move comes the shred-ready 22-foot superpipe. Killington is one of New England’s gems with a network of six mountains and the highest gondola-serviced point in the entire region.

For the third year running, the cool little ski town of Breckenridge, Colorado will mark the start of the Winter Dew Tour’s slope and pipe competitions. The Tour returns to Breckenridge Ski Resort from Dec. 16-19 and includes the only stop with Open Qualifiers for the athletes fighting to earn a spot to compete.

It will be down to the wire in Snowbasin as the new guys look to unseat the reigning champs, while the defenders try hold onto their titles for the next season. The reigning Dew Cup champs for freeski include Andreas Hatveit for Slopestyle and Jossi Wells for Superpipe. On the snowboard side, Dew Cup champs are Jamie Anderson and Sage Kotsenburg for Slopestyle and Kaitlyn Farrington and JJ Thomas for Superpipe.

Last year’s second stop, the Winter Dew Tour event at Snowbasin, was such a success that the resort will now host the season-ending Toyota Championships from Feb. 10-13 in Ogden, Utah. The resort not only boasts the “Best Snow on Earth,” it also brought in some of the biggest crowds Winter Dew Tour has ever seen, all there to witness the action find out which athletes will be awarded the season-ending Dew Cups.

Schedule:

Dec: 16-19 Breckenridge Ski Resort – Breckenridge, Colo.
Jan: 20-23 Killington Resort – Killington, Vt.
Feb: 10-13 Snowbasin Resort – Ogden, Utah – Toyota Championship
