Saturday evening saw the World Skiing Invitational Big Air Finals play out in Whistler Village. As the last opportunity of the season to rack up points for the 2013 AFP Big Air circuit, it was graced with some of the best athletes from around the world. The 32 riders were swiftly cut down to just 8, which saw Henrik Harlaut, Russ Henshaw, Alex Beaulieu, Alex Schlopy, Joss Christensen, Espen Bergh, Gus Kenworthy and Vincent Gagnier all safely go through to the final. Henrik Harlaut’s 90 points for his smooth nose butter double cork 10 put him comfortably in third place, Gus Kenworthy earned his 91 point second place spot with a double cork 16, while Vincent Gagnier claimed the win with his massive double bio octograb, which earned him 92 points and a very tidy $5000! As the 2013 Big Air season concludes it can now be confirmed that Henrik Harlaut is the 2013 AFP Big Air World Campion.
