So it appears that the AFP (Association of Freeski Professionals) have decided that they need someone new to fill the position of Content Manager. That’s right. I’ve gone the long way around to say that there’s a job vacancy for Content Manager at the AFP. But then you already knew that anyway didn’t you?
If you don’t already know about it then read on. What you have to do is create a video with a running time of 2 minutes or less. Don’t worry what you film it on whether it be your mobile phone (cellphone for our American cousins), web cam, Flipcam, 1980’s camcorder, anything you want. They want to see how knowledgeable you are about the industry, the more knowledge you have the more chance you’ve got. Then upload to the internet, connect via Facebook, fill out a questionnaire, embed the video and get every single person you know to vote on it.
If you’re the chosen one you’ll travel the globe to all of the seven Platinum Level AFP events, provide contest coverage, update the AFP standings and you’ll provide updates from the non-platinum events from your armchair. Along with this is a $10,000 expense account for your travel and other various expenses.
All in all it’s a great way to get yourself into the industry, meet the best riders in the world, attend the biggest events in the sport and so much more. Actually, why am I telling you?! I need to get my camera and apply for myself!
