That’s right. The Russian leg of the tour is well and truly over which means that it’s about time I delivered some highlights your way!
Sochi was always going to be an interesting leg of the tour. With the next winter Olympics being held there it was sure to be scrutinised no matter what happened but luckily, everything ran smoothly. Well, everything apart from Day 2 which was delayed for a couple of days due to bad weather but this didn’t have an effect on the whole leg with the riders hitting the slopes as hard as they normally would, just a day later.

As the event in Sochi was a men’s only event you won’t be surprised to see only men’s highlights in this post. The ladies’ event was over in Kirkwood and I’ll hopefully be having highlights of that as soon as I can but for now, you’ll have to make do with the top three winning runs.
