The importance of safety on any mountain is a key ingredient to skiing. If you don’t think about your safety then it will come back to haunt you and it’ll probably haunt you in a way that you can’t come back from. The Freeride World Tour is very aware of this so they give out avalanche training at all their stops. With a lot of freestyle skiers competing in the FWT they might not all have avalanche experience so to get them prepared is the most important thing.
