What a year it’s been already! There’s been comp after comp and there’s still more to come! With the X Games finally over we are here to stunned by the shock & awe tactics of the world’s best skiers. With Torstein Horgmo showing the world the first triple cork in competition (barely a triple cork, more like a triple flip) would the skiers step up to the plate and deliver a triple of their own?

No.

With the last freeskiing event being the Big Air we were still blessed with one hell of a show. Alex Schlopy stole the show with a double cork 1620 mute to take the gold with a score of 92.00. “I can’t believe this,” said Schlopy. “I came in thinking I was just going to go as big as possible. I just wanted to put on a great show at the X Games. That’s what it’s all about.”

Bobby Brown could only claim silver to go with his gold medal from last year with a score of 89.00.

And bringing up the rear was Sammy Carlson. With a score of 87.00 he took home a Big Air bronze to go with his slopestyle gold!
