Everyone in Europe is looking forward to the Winter X Games in Tignes this year. It’s the second time it’ll be in Tignes and the second time it’ll be in Europe so here’s hoping it’s as big as last year! ANYWAY….
Sitting in the office dreaming about snow, a little email pops up in the corner telling me about the first wave of invited riders to the Winter X Games Europe. Interested? Yeah, ok…. here goes:

Xavier Bertoni (FRA) – 2009 Winter X Games Ski SuperPipe gold medalist and 2010 Winter X Games Europe silver medalist
Sarah Burke (USA) – Four-time and current defending Winter X Games Ski SuperPipe gold medalist
Bobby Brown (USA) – 2010 Winter X Games Ski Slopestyle and Big Air gold medalist
Kevin Rolland (FRA) – Two-time Winter X Games and defending Winter X Games Europe Ski SuperPipe gold medalist

These are the four skiers that have been invited and it’s nothing out of the ordinary. Four riders that have been on top of their game this year and they’re first out of the hat to be invited. It’ll be good to see Kevin Rolland trying for the gold again and there’s good money that he’ll take it ahead of Xavier Bertoni. Bobby Brown has just won the Dew Tour (like Kevin) and he’s going to be the one to beat in slopestyle but keep an eye out for Alex Schlopy and Tom Wallisch. Providing they get invited of course!
