This is a solid backountry ski. A homage to the late Doug Coombs, the Coomback is built for first descents, touring, steeps and speed – pretty much everything Doug’s skiing was about. This was very popular with the testers, and seems to deliver on most of its promises, the edge hold is good for the steeps, it is pretty lightweight for the tourers, and it is a solid, stiff, and smooth ride for those who like to open up the throttle. A great choice for those of you who like to spend most of your time off piste, plus as a bonus, a percentage of all profits from the sale of the ski goes to the Coombs family and the American Mountain Guide Association.
