Stökli – Rotor 106

Stokli aren’t exactly renowned for their backcountry freestyle skis, but the Rotor 106 might change all that. These fat twins are unbelievably smooth underfoot. Looking at the metallic top sheet you would assume they are pretty stiff, and you wouldn’t be wrong. Of course some like their backcountry freestyle skis to be a pretty forgiving and cruisy ride, and if that’s you skip to the next review immediately. While these may not be the best ski for jibbing around on random features, they will stomp an 80 foot kicker for breakfast and cane a couloir for lunch, non agressive or inexperienced skiers should probably look elsewhere, but for those of you who want something to tackle the big mountain, but also like to throw the odd huck you could do a lot worse.
