News From The Brits

In a matter of mere weeks the UK’s top boardwear brand, Protest, will hit The BRITS new home of Tignes to host the highly anticipated Protest British Slopestyle Championships and the infamous Back to the 90s Party while action camera brand iON will be on hand to kit out British gold medallists and offer all BRITS wristband holders the chance to film their own shred edit as they test one of the new Air Pro 2 cameras.

Now we might be biased here, but if like us you’ve been glued to the your screen and tracking the progress of Team GB in their Olympic qualifying season you would have noticed that we’ve got some truly realistic gold medal contenders for Sochi 2014. Here at BRITS HQ we’ve scheduled around the FIS calendar to give the UK’s heavy hitters the opportunity to show us why a Sochi 2014 medal is quickly becoming a reality. Tignes park shapers, driven by a compelling sense of pride (you’ve gotta love a bit of X Games rivalry!), have created a new and innovative course with six zones and with hopeful appearances from the likes of Billy Morgan, Jamie Nicholls, Katie Ormerod, Aimee Fuller, Katie Summerhayes and Tyler Harding, the scene is set for a major showdown of British talent.

Off the mountain it’s time to dig out those dusty Adidas Originals, crop tops and insanely baggy pants as the Protest Back to the 90s Party, in association with Whitelines Magazine, brings you a night of pure 90s abandon on Wednesday 27th March. With live music from six piece band Club Classics and festival heavyweight Christian Stevenson AKA DJ BBQ the nights a guaranteed winner!

Unless you’ve been under a rock you will have noticed there’s a brand new action camera brand on the winter sports scene; iON cameras will be on hand to offer all BRITS wristband holders the opportunity to try out one of their brand new Air Pro 2 cameras. Launching in the UK this April this will be the first chance to try out one of these tidy little cameras. iON will also be presenting all British gold medallists with one of their brand new Air Pro cameras, add that to the already bulging prize purse and you have quite a booty!

Week-packages start from an amazing £279 and include seven nights’ accommodation, six day liftpass, festival wristband and an official BRITS Funi beanie, so don’t delay, get booking! For more information and to book check out www.the-brits.com
