The people at Teton Gravity Research have decided to run a little competition. If you are 17 years or younger, then you have a chance to become the next ski movie star! All you have to do is submit an edit of up to 3 minutes, showcasing your talents on the mountain. If you win you’ll be picked by a panel of TGR judges to film on location for their 2011 ski and snowboard film. Not only that but a shortened version of the winning film will be shown before TGR’s 2010 film, Light The Wick. It’s going to be shown to over 80,000 fans worldwide so you might be spotted by a few people!
“People are always asking how they get to be in a TGR film. We look at edits, competition results, and recommendations from other athletes and industry sources to determine who is getting it done. We tend to throw the most weight at video, since it really showcases a person’s talent. We thought that hosting a video submission contest would be a cool way to give young riders a chance to showcase their talent to TGR’s expansive audience,” says Todd Jones, co-producer of over 25 action sports films for TGR.
This comp is open until July 25th so you’ve got a little while to get editing. The films will be judges on the quality of riding and talent but a tight edit with good filming may sway the judges so keep that in mind!
